The Dreamy Icelandic Rhythms of Sigur Ros, Burgoo, Ribs, Brisket
Old Viking Proverb says, “Necessity teaches a naked woman how to spin” As is applies to Sigurd, it will have your head spinning and your hands grasping just the same. This style of beer comes from the land of the ice and snow, from the midnight sun, where the hotsprings flow. The Kviek (a strain of S. cerevisiae) sailed in ships to Yeast Bay, similarly as its brother before it, Vos the Deferens. This Viking brew is armed with the same orange and earthy boldness imparted by its distinctive yeast strain, along with a campy spice from Beech and Peat-smoked malts. Layered across this is the bold and citrusy Evergreen flavor and aroma of freshly harvested Spruce tips collected with our friends at Olmstead Parks in the greenlands around Louisville. Dreamy and rich, melodic and fresh as a Valkyrie song
