Hops:   Bravo, Azacca, Equinox, Loral

Malts:   Pale, Malted Oats, Carapils, Flaked Oats, Flaked Wheat

Yeast:   Vermont Ale

Other:   Shikuwasa, Cacao Juice, Satsuma Mandarin, Kumquat, Lactose

 

TASTING NOTES

Malt Character:   Silky, Mildly Bready

Hop Character: Mild bitterness, very juicy, tropical, guava and peach

Yeast Character:  Fruity

Other: Zesty, lemon/lime from Shikuwasa, rich cacao-y aroma, tangy, juicy mandarin and kumquat character

Heizubiru, Hai!

Our collaboration with Brazilian brewery Japas Cervejaria incorporates ingredients from both Japan and Brazil, just like the lovely ladies of Japas meld their Japanese heritage with their Brazilian homeland.  Shikuwasa lends a lemon-lime layer that melds well with Mandarin and Kumquat. The juice of the cacao pod that surrounds the nib adds a rich aromatic note. It is inherently crisp, fruity, complex and, above all TROPICAL HAZY BEER as the Japanese translation of that exact phrase insinuates.
