“Armoured Elbow”

Status: Our Collection

Cowter: Elbow armour is called a cowter: Who knew?

A strong but basic IPA grain bill was given a touch of rye to add a little complexity and a little flaked oat for body. From there, the hops take over. A healthy Simcoe bittering addition piles on the IBU's while leaving traces of grapefruit and pine. Late additions of Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, and Motueka line up to offer grassy notes, lemony zest and lime juice flavors and a faint hint of tropical fruits. Healthy dry hopping with Amarillo and Motueka yield a vibrant lemon/lime aroma with a background of fresh greenery. Think of cutting the grass after you had thrown a bag of citrus into the mower.
